Those of us living in Santa Cruz know what the rain was like. It was intense and frequent. At my house in Live Oak, there were three days out of four, starting on Sunday December 1, which produced almost 2″ of rain in a 24-hour period. By the end of the week, we were over 8″ and hoping for sun.

Through a website I watch, “the Water Maven,” I found this interesting article from the LA Times about the entire state.

Precipitation above normal in Southern California and adding up in the north

The water level at Loch Lomond has started to rise again. The level on November 20 was 89.3% and falling about .3% per week. As of December 4, the level was at 90.6% and rising.
