We had a great time and hope you did to
A lovely weekend rain storm. 1.08” of rain in Santa Cruz, and 1.56” high in the watershed above Loch Lomond.
I would like to thank all of you for coming to the Rio Theater on Tuesday night. I was very pleased with the attendance, over 120, with 93 paid admissions. It speaks well for our community.
I feel the program achieved its goal. We talked about water, we talked about the power of an idea in the hands of a few dedicated people, and we learned about where our water comes from and where it really resides, The San Lorenzo river watershed. We will post the 18.5 minute film to You tube on Tuesday. We will send a link when it is up.
In closing, I would like to express my gratitude to the artists who joined us Tuesday evening. The mounted and framed photographs supplied by Jeanine Lovett and David Hartley, were a lovely gift. One is now permanently in my family. Their gallery can be seen here.
The fine serenade in appreciation of rain at the end provided by Russell Brutsche, Gail Swain and Jerry Paul was a nice way to usher in the rainy season. Russell Brutsche’s paintings are beautiful and provocative. If you would like to find out more about Russell, you can do so here.
